Why I Do This Work

I know what holding it together can look like.

I knew early on that I wanted to support women with struggles like the ones I watched growing up. The women who loved on me did endless work to make each day feel safe, secure and joy-filled for their families and their community. Watching them taught me how easily care for others can fill every part of a day. The planning, decisions and remembering are work too, even when no one else sees them. This is why I listen for what is actually draining you, not only what looks most urgent from the outside. I watched my single mother work tirelessly for years to provide for my brother and me. Now I serve women with similar stories, and I help them learn to prioritize themselves and break the old habits that keep them last on their own to-do list.

From Christina

In My Words

I grew up watching the women around me hold everything together for everyone else. My single mother worked tirelessly to provide for my brother and me. I knew early on that I wanted to support women who carry responsibilities like these.

I teach women to recognize what causes exhaustion and to prioritize their needs. We can begin with the heaviest weights in your life, listen for repeating patterns and find a practical place to start. You do not have to arrive with a neat explanation. You can talk about feeling responsible for everything and everyone, tired of making all the decisions, or frustrated by a lack of support. Those details give us a place to begin looking at the expectations and boundaries shaping your days.

How I Work

Warmth and honest accountability.

We start with the heaviest weights in your life. I listen for patterns in your thoughts and days, and together we look for a practical place to begin. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help us notice thinking such as "I have to do it all." Mindfulness and body-based tools can help you pay attention to what stress feels like in the moment. We can practice resilience skills and check in on a small step between sessions.
