Women Who Carry Everything
I am Christina, and I am glad you are here. You might be the person who remembers every birthday, knows exactly where the spare keys are, and anticipates every deadline before it arrives. Holding all these details can feel like keeping dozens of mental tabs open while trying to focus on the person in front of you. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in Maryland. I have spent about 6 years in practice working with people as they navigate the complexities of their daily lives. My focus is on providing a space where we can look at these patterns together. I work with adults and couples located in Maryland through telehealth from Monday to Friday. We can explore how it feels to carry these responsibilities and look at ways to move through your week with a different kind of presence.

The Invisible Weight of Planning
You might find yourself acting as the manager of your household and your workspace simultaneously. This involves more than just finishing a list of chores. It is the constant mental activity of tracking when the milk expires, when the car needs service, or how to coordinate a family dinner. This level of coordination often leads to a sense of being tired that does not go away with a night of rest. We use CBT and DBT to observe these habits of thought. We look at the way you organize your world and practice noticing how these mental habits influence your daily interactions with others.
Navigating the Quiet Frustration
It is common to feel a sense of distance when you are the only one noticing what needs to happen next. You might feel a sting of irritation when you see others resting while you are still mentally auditing a schedule. This feeling often suggests that your own rhythm is being overlooked. Using Gottman methods and relational tools, we look at how you share your perspective with those around you. We practice ways to speak about your needs and observations clearly. The goal is to explore a balance where you participate in your relationships as a partner rather than just a coordinator.
Grounding Your Busy Mind
When your mind is occupied by logistics and future events, staying connected to the present moment is a challenge. I incorporate somatic and mindfulness based practices to help you notice your physical sensations. We might pay attention to how your posture shifts when you talk about your calendar or how you hold your breath while checking messages. These methods are about observing the connection between your thoughts and your body. By practicing these skills, we look at how to maintain a sense of internal awareness even when the environment around you is filled with many competing demands and loud expectations.
Finding Space for You
Many women I work with in Maryland find that their personal interests have faded because their time is dedicated to the needs of others. Through ACT, we look at your personal values and what you find meaningful outside of your various roles. We talk about practical ways to include activities that are just for you, such as sitting with a book or taking a walk. You are a person with your own interests apart from your list of tasks. We work together to explore a sense of self that feels distinct from the many requests and requirements that fill your typical workday.
