Some days feel heavy or flat. You may be doing what has to get done while feeling far away from what used to matter.

Depression

A Place to Say It Plainly

Losing touch with joy, pulling away from people or feeling numb can be difficult to explain. You do not need to make it sound better than it is. I will listen without asking you to rush toward a brighter story.

Day to day, heaviness can exist beside responsibility. You may still make decisions, answer other people's questions and complete what cannot be postponed, while feeling distant from your own needs. The effort may be hard for others to see. You might have less energy for connection or less interest in what used to matter, then criticize yourself for not doing more. Therapy offers a place to speak plainly about that experience. You do not have to perform hope, minimize the difficult days or arrive with a polished reason for how you feel.

Small Enough to Begin

We start with what feels possible today. Therapy can help us notice the thoughts and routines that keep you stuck, then choose small, doable steps that matter to you.

CBT is my foundation, so we can pay attention to thought themes and routines that keep the heaviest weights in place. The pace starts with what feels possible. DBT and ACT skills may help you make room for difficult feelings and choose a next action connected to what matters to you. Somatic and mindfulness tools can support awareness of your body and attention. Resilience skills I am certified by the U.S. Army to teach may also be part of the work. Accountability and intentional homework stay practical, specific and connected to what we discussed rather than becoming another long list to manage.

What If I Can Only Name What Feels Heavy?

That is enough for a beginning. You do not need a complete goal or a brighter version of the story. We can start with what feels heaviest, notice the patterns around it and choose a manageable next step together.
