A Free Consultation

A free consultation is a brief first conversation about what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping will feel different, and whether working together feels like a good fit. You do not need a polished explanation or a complete history. Bring the questions that matter to you, and I will answer as plainly as I can. If you decide you would like to continue, we can talk about next steps. If not, there is no pressure to schedule. Booking is handled through Alma so you can choose an available time directly. You may also use the conversation to learn what telehealth feels like before sharing more of your story. I will explain the scope of my Maryland practice, answer practical questions, and be direct if another kind of support appears more appropriate. Clear information helps you choose from a grounded place.

A Conversation About Fit

The consultation gives us room to notice whether my style and the kind of support you want line up. I work with adults and couples located in Maryland by telehealth, Monday to Friday. Much of my work centers women who have spent a long time carrying other people’s needs. You can tell me what feels most important right now, and I can explain how I might approach it. A good fit includes feeling able to speak honestly, ask questions, and understand what the work could involve.

Questions Are Welcome

You can ask about telehealth, scheduling, privacy, fees, insurance, or the approaches I use. I often draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and Gottman-informed work with couples. We do not need to decide on a detailed plan during this first call. The purpose is clarity. I want you to have enough information to make your own decision about moving forward.

What to Share

Start wherever it feels easiest. You might name a pattern that keeps repeating, a recent change, a relationship concern, or the feeling that you are running out of room for yourself. You can keep the overview broad. The consultation is not the place where you have to tell your whole story. A few clear details about what you want help with are enough for us to begin discussing fit and possible next steps.

Booking Through Alma

Use the booking link to open Alma and select a free consultation time. Alma is the secure platform I use for scheduling. After you choose a time, follow the directions there for any information needed before our conversation. There is no countdown and no pressure. You are allowed to take time after the consultation to consider what you heard and decide what feels right for you.

After the Conversation

After we talk, you can decide whether you want to take the next step. You may want to review what you learned, consider your schedule, or write down a question that came up later. Choosing not to book is also a valid decision. The consultation does not create an obligation. If we appear to be a fit and you want to proceed, the next step is arranging your first telehealth session. That meeting gives us more time to begin with what feels heaviest and identify an initial focus together.
