Glow From Within: Where Inner Workings Shine from Beneath the Surface

Starting Online Therapy in Virginia

You do not need a polished explanation to begin.

Reaching out can feel like a task you keep moving to the next week. You may be unsure what to say, whether your concern is serious enough or how online sessions work. A free consultation gives you a place to start with those questions.

What to Bring to a Consultation

You can describe one thing you want help with, or say that you are having trouble putting it into words. You can ask about my approach and whether it fits what you are looking for. A consultation is a conversation about fit, not a commitment to have everything figured out.

Set Up a Space Where You Can Speak

For virtual sessions, choose somewhere private in Virginia with a stable internet connection. Headphones may help, especially in a shared home. Think about who could overhear you and whether you will be interrupted. If privacy is difficult, raise that before the first session.

Clarify Insurance or Self-Pay

Individual therapy clients in Virginia can use insurance or self-pay. Couples sessions are self-pay and out of network. Ask whether your particular plan and the service you need are covered, what your cost may be and what information is needed to confirm it. Do not assume that a plan listed elsewhere covers every type of appointment.

Keep Location and Scheduling Clear

Therapy availability depends on where you are physically located during the session. If you travel outside Maryland or Virginia, discuss the plan before the appointment. Current openings and scheduling arrangements can be confirmed directly; the website does not reserve a time for you.
